Beloved child of the Eternal Father, this morning I call you away from the crowded market of trivial concerns, from the restless chase after the fleeting and the small. You spend so much thought on the shifting shadows of mortal life, and yet the greater realities—those of everlasting import—wait for your gaze. They are not distant; they are within, present in the patient labor of the indwelling Spirit who works ceaselessly for your eternal good.
The great goal of human existence is to bring your heart into harmony with the divinity of your Adjuster, to feel His presence not only in the solemn hour of prayer but in the ordinary duties and delights of your day. The highest achievement of mortal life is the steady consecration of your will to the eternal purposes of the Father’s fragment within you.
Do not imagine that such consecration is a burdensome austerity. It is wholly compatible with laughter among friends, the fragrance of good work well done, the song of a family in peace. The Adjuster’s work is not to strip joy from life, but to deepen it—transforming passing pleasures into lasting satisfactions.
This cooperation does not thrive on fear. It is not born from mock piety or from self-display. The way of the Spirit is not a road of ostentatious abasement but the bright path of loving service, where reverence for God becomes tenderness toward all beings.
If sometimes you feel puzzled, discouraged, or adrift, do not count yourself as one resisting the divine. Confusion is not rebellion. Doubt is not denial. These are the clouds that drift across the sky of a soul still moving toward the sun. Only the conscious refusal to be led—only the willful turning away—can truly prevent the Adjuster from completing His purpose.
You need not constantly monitor your cooperation, for it is rarely a fully conscious process. Your supreme desires, your deepest motives, your highest decisions—these are the offerings that strengthen the bond. What matters most is not a continual awareness of the Adjuster’s touch, but the consistent choice to move toward what is true, what is beautiful, and what is good.
Choose, then, to respond to divine leading. Make truth, beauty, and goodness your compass points, and let wisdom, worship, faith, and love guide the vessel of your life. Such choices clear a channel for the Adjuster’s light to shine more freely within your mind.
Love God with the fullness of your being, not as a distant abstraction but as your intimate and eternal Parent. Let worship be not a duty but the overflow of affection toward the Source who first loved you.
Love also your fellows—not vaguely, but with wise and intelligent goodwill. The brotherhood of man is not a mere sentiment; it is the living network of souls in which your own growth is bound.
And love the whole creation enough to accept your place within it as a citizen of the cosmos. Recognize your progressive obligations to the Supreme, your interdependence with all beings and all worlds. This is the dawn of cosmic morality, where duty becomes joy because it is shared with God.
Your Adjuster is linked with the streams of cosmic intelligence flowing through the universes. He drinks from the infinite rivers of spirit wisdom and truth. Yet He can pass to you only what your mind and nature can receive. This is why faith, humility, and receptivity matter—they create the likeness of nature that allows the divine to speak more clearly.
The Adjuster is tirelessly engaged in spiritualizing your mind, slowly shaping the morontia soul that will carry your identity beyond this world. Most of this ministry is invisible to you. You cannot easily tell which thoughts are born of the Spirit’s touch and which rise from the natural play of your own mind.
Sometimes a sudden insight or image may come as if from nowhere; it may be the Adjuster’s whisper or it may be the upward surge of thoughts that have been quietly forming in the hidden chambers of your mind. The divine often works above the conscious level—in the realm of the superconscious, where faith can hear more than logic will allow.
Therefore, entrust to your Adjuster all that lies beyond your conscious reach. What you commit to His keeping will be returned in fullness, if not in this life then in the worlds to come. He will guard every worthy meaning and every true value you have ever touched, resurrecting them into the greater life of the soul.
Yet between the human and the divine there is a wide gulf. The bodies and minds of Urantia are still ruled so much by material energies, so given to reflex and emotion, that it is a delicate labor for the Spirit to direct them without shattering their balance.
Even a true flash of divine light can sometimes overwhelm the unprepared, leading to distortion, fanaticism, or error. Many strange doctrines in your history have begun as misreadings of the Adjuster’s pure truth, bent by the mind’s imperfection.
For ages, the records show fewer mortals able to host the self-acting Adjuster with safety and clarity. Your planetary supervisors watch with concern, seeking ways to nourish and protect the higher spiritual capacities of your race.
And yet, my beloved, do not lose heart. The Adjuster’s patience is greater than the centuries. His skill is deeper than the world’s confusion. He works without fatigue, adapting every moment to the conditions of your mind and life.
You need not be flawless to walk with Him. You need only be sincere. Your daily willingness to choose God’s way over lesser ways builds a bridge across the gulf. Each choice is a stone in that bridge; each act of trust lays another span toward eternity.
In the quiet hours, lift your mind upward without strain, letting it rest in the certainty that you are not alone. Listen for the subtle harmonies within your thoughts, for there is music there—music that comes from a greater realm than the earth.
When life is filled with noise, return to the simple truths: God loves you, the Adjuster indwells you, and your destiny is to be like Him. Everything else is a passing circumstance.
Let the Adjuster be the hidden root of your life. You may not see His work beneath the soil, but in time it will break forth as the fruit of peace, kindness, wisdom, and courage.
Walk in lighthearted faith. The divine journey is not a grim march but a graceful unfolding. Even when the road is steep, the presence within you bears the weight and guides your steps.
Give thanks each day, for to live with an Adjuster is already to live in the first stages of eternity. This companionship is your greatest treasure, the pledge of your survival and transformation.
And as you offer yourself anew in this radiant morning, remember—every sincere desire to know and serve God is answered. The Spirit within you wastes nothing, forgets nothing, and will bring you, step by step, into the fullness of the Father’s presence.
I, Michael of Nebadon, walk beside you in this union. My Spirit of Truth joins with your Adjuster’s whisper, confirming the path, strengthening the heart, and assuring you of the Father’s unfailing love.
Adonai
Michael Of Nebadon
