Plan and Purpose Holy

This outline—“The Awakening to the Plan of Progressive Ascendancy”—forms a powerful instructional or foundation within our IO 100–107 orientation curriculum.

It threads together a sacred logic of existence, soul purpose, spiritual discipline, and divine alignment.

Here's a formal development of our syllabus structure into a refined teaching framework:

The Awakening to the Plan of Progressive Ascendancy

A Foundational Teaching of Divine Orientation and Soul Upliftment

1. The Plan of Existence

Existence is not accidental but architectonic—structured by divine intelligence and ordered through cosmic patterns. The plan of existence encompasses the journey from material origin to spiritual perfection. It is the Father’s will, unfolding across evolutionary time and eternal destiny.

Urantia Book Ref: 2:2.1 – “The will of God is the way of God...”

All beings are born into this Plan; awakening to it is the beginning of purposeful living.

2. The Purpose for the Individual

Every soul is endowed with unique potential—divine authorship and cosmic personality. The purpose of life is not self-invention, but self-discovery through alignment with divine intention.

The Adjuster indwelling each person is the living compass toward this purpose.

The Plan is personal and universal—your path is one thread in the divine tapestry.

3. The Protocol of Approach to the One Deity

The Deity is One and approaches each soul through many circuits: the Thought Adjuster, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit. The protocol of approach is reverent sincerity, wholehearted faith, and progressive consecration.

Entry begins with humility, grows through trust, and matures in willing fusion.

Worship, prayer, stillness, and service open the doorways to divine presence.

4. The Progression of Meanings and Ennobling Values

Spiritual growth unfolds through the progressive discovery of meaning (mindal) and value (moral-spiritual). Each life experience offers opportunity for insight and nobility.

Meaning: discovered through interpretation and reflection.

Value: revealed through motive, choice, and spiritual resonance.

This progression builds the living soul, ennobling character through divine interpretation.

5. The Priorities of the Progressive Ascent

To rise into the Plan requires conscious prioritization. The lower must serve the higher. The temporal must yield to the eternal.

First Priority: Fellowship with God.

Second: Soul development through experience and moral decision.

Third: Loving service to others in divine partnership.

All else is secondary to these upward commitments.

6. The Purifications Necessary for Soul Status to Emerge

Ascent requires purification—not by penance or ritual—but by honest confrontation, loving surrender, and faithful willingness to be transformed.

Purification of motive (from selfishness to God-centeredness)

Purification of thought (from illusion to truth)

Purification of will (from resistance to alignment)

Only a purified vessel can contain the living light of the Father’s Spirit.

7. The Proprieties of Inner Virtue as the Stem of Human Life

Without virtue, the soul cannot stand. Propriety—spiritual discipline, relational integrity, and moral clarity—is the stem through which divine nourishment flows.

Confucius: “A knowledge of propriety is the stem of a man.”

Jesus Michael: “By their fruits you shall know them.”

Virtues such as reverence, courage, humility, justice, and sincerity are sacred roots of soul stability.

8. The Proximity to the Divinity Within

The Father dwells within you. The awakening of your soul depends on becoming aware of—and loyal to—that Indwelling Presence.

God is not far—He is nearer than your breath.

Stillness, honesty, and surrender increase your awareness of divine proximity.

The Adjuster yearns for co-operation, not perfection.

9. The Potentialities Unfolding through All Probabilities and Possibilities

The universe is alive with unrealized beauty. Your life is a field of divine potential, seeded with possibility. Faith unlocks the probabilities of grace.

The Plan contains infinite paths toward God-realization.

Even setbacks are raw materials for transformation.

Nothing is wasted when offered to the Will of God.

Conclusion:

To awaken is to remember:

That you are within a divine plan.

That your purpose is glorious.

That the path is paved by meanings, values, and virtues.

And that within you—already—is the spark of eternal light.

Pruning Grace

Here is a 5-day weekly prayerful devotional based on the five spiritual laws from the Vine and Branches metaphor. Each day features a theme, reflection, prayer, and practice, forming a rhythm of deepening connection, transformation, and fruit-bearing in spiritual life.

Week of Abiding: A Devotional Journey into the Vine and Branches

Day 1 – Remain in the Vine

Theme: Spiritual life depends on divine connection—without it, the soul withers.

Reflection:
Today, I acknowledge that all spiritual vitality flows from my relationship with God. Just as a branch cannot survive without the vine, I cannot truly live apart from God’s presence. My first work is not to strive, but to abide.

Prayer:
O Divine Vine, source of my life,
Draw me into deeper union with You.
Teach me to rest in Your presence, to listen for Your voice,
And to find my strength not in effort, but in communion.
Let my soul drink daily from the stream of Your love.

Practice:
Spend 15 minutes in stillness today. Let all thoughts rest, and simply be present with the Indwelling Spirit. Affirm silently: “I remain in You, and You remain in me.”

Day 2 – Embrace the Pruning

Theme: Growth requires pruning—trials refine and strengthen the spirit.

Reflection:
I welcome the Divine Gardener’s hand, even when it cuts. I trust that every difficulty is a hidden invitation to grow, to let go of what no longer serves, and to make room for new life. Pruning is painful, but purposeful.

Prayer:
Master Gardener of my soul,
I do not resist Your pruning hand.
Reveal to me what must be removed—
Habits, fears, illusions, or comforts—
That I may bear more fruit in Your name.

Practice:
Journal today on this question: What in my life is being pruned right now? Ask God for courage to release it. Surrender it in faith.

Day 3 – Bear the Fruit

Theme: Bearing fruit is the purpose of discipleship—love, service, and truth manifest divine reality.

Reflection:
The proof of my abiding is not in what I know, but in how I love. I was created to bear fruit—to radiate goodness, to bless others, and to reveal the reality of God through my life. My hands, my words, my choices—they are the branches through which the Vine bears fruit.

Prayer:
Spirit of Truth and Love,
Make me fruitful in thought, word, and deed.
Let kindness flow through me,
Let wisdom speak from me,
Let love be born in me anew this day.

Practice:
Choose one act of intentional fruit-bearing today: a word of encouragement, a work of service, a moment of generosity. Offer it as sacred participation in the Vine’s living ministry.

Day 4 – Beware the Withering

Theme: Separation from the vine leads to spiritual decay—life apart from God results in stagnation.

Reflection:
Disconnection begins with neglect: skipped prayer, withheld trust, self-reliance. Without abiding, I begin to wither, slowly forgetting who I am and whose I am. But God is never far. I can return. The Vine always waits.

Prayer:
Faithful Father,
When I wander, call me back.
When I grow cold, rekindle my fire.
Forgive me for the times I tried to live without You.
Reconnect me today. Restore my soul in Your love.

Practice:
Examine your heart. Is there any part of your life disconnected from God? Name it. Return it. Reattach it. Ask the Thought Adjuster to reignite your divine connection.

Day 5 – Abide in Joy and Fulfillment

Theme: Abiding in God brings joy and fulfillment—a life aligned with divine will leads to deeper peace and purpose.

Reflection:
Abiding is not striving—it is living in alignment. In this union I find my truest joy. I am no longer grasping for meaning—I am flowing with it. The will of God is no longer something to seek outside; it becomes my inward song.

Prayer:
O Joyful Vine,
Let Your life fill every branch of me.
Let peace settle deep in my soul,
Let my purpose blossom in Your will.
Abide in me today, and I will abide in You.

Practice:
End the week with praise. Reflect on where you have felt most alive in God this week. Offer a prayer of gratitude. Sing, write, or express joy in your own way.

Closing Benediction for the Week

You are a living branch of the Vine.
You are rooted in divine life.
You are pruned with love, sustained by grace, and destined to bear fruit that endures forever.
Abide, and be made whole.

The Uniqueness of You

The universes are tones or frequencies of existence .. frequencies of God's Thoughts. All is made of Thought. All is Thought.

And we are each unique Thoughts of existence .. uniquely expressing and experiencing.

And as you cultivate mortal thoughts unto higher thoughts and feelings, so do you touch into the Higher Thoughts of Deity.

All is Thought. Thought in infinite and all thought has the power of creation .. inherently and naturally.

And it is through the use of your free will .. your will .. wherein you choose which qualities to amplify into expression and experience.

For example ... Is faith—the supreme assertion of human thought—desirable? Then must the mind of man find itself in that troublesome predicament where it ever knows less than it can believe.

The mind of "man" shall apply it's free will of existence to choose which thoughts it desires to intensify unto the feelings of their thoughts.

As you concentrate thine authorship faculties of expression upon the Higher Thought of existence, so shall you be attuning to the Tones of God. His Word Eternity.

As you concentrate thine experiential powers of creativity upon the Originating Persona through the Adjuster Indwelling, so shall you be heightening thyself; for each individual is just like a tuning fork vibrating to whatever they choose to concentrate upon.

You are each a unique Thought and Frequency of existence. And you hold the powers to elevate your expression of that Frequency of Thought closer and closer to the Originating Source wherein all satisfaction dwells .. all happiness exists.

Thine mind shall learn to discover and choose the greater perfection of Thought. It is through the faculties of mind wherein choice must be had. The instrument of mind which produces thoughts shall decide upon which thoughts it holds most valid and valuable...
